Chef Eli Townsend is a native Memphian and graduate of Frayser High School. He begin his love affair with food at the age of 8 with help from the Memphis Public Libraries, bookmobile. He has had the opportunity to travel across the country and learn how food impacts the lives of others and is the catalyst from much needed conversations. He currently is the Culinary Coordinator for the Kaleidoscope Kitchen ,a commercial connection that offers culinary training to immigrant entrepreneurs as well as native Memphians.
